Job Title: Area Sales Manager (ASM) – Home Loans
Locations: Mumbai / Lucknow / Delhi / Bangalore / Hyderabad
Reports To: Regional Sales Manager
Job Overview:
This role involves recruiting and managing partners, agents, brokers, distributors and generating leads, supporting customer acquisition, and ensuring seamless loan processing. The ASM will play a key role in achieving sales targets, expanding channel networks, ensuring compliance, and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales Target Achievement
- Achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for home loan products across channels.
- Drive lead generation, conversion, and timely processing of applications in coordination with partners.
2. Channel Partner Management
- Recruit, onboard, and manage a strong network of partners, agents and distributors.
- Conduct training and upskilling sessions to enhance product knowledge, process awareness, and compliance adherence.
- Regularly engage with partners to ensure productivity and business alignment.
3. Lead Generation & Conversion
- Collaborate with both channels to generate high-quality leads and support partners to convert them into successful disbursals.
- Monitor performance metrics like lead-to-login and login-to-disbursal ratios, and take action to improve conversion efficiency.
4. Relationship Management
- Maintain long-term, productive relationships with partners to drive consistent business.
- Support partners in handling customer interactions and resolving issues efficiently.
5. Market Development & Strategy
- Analyze regional trends, competitor activities, and partner performance to develop market penetration strategies.
- Identify new opportunities to grow home loan business in untapped areas or through new partners.
6. Compliance & Risk Mitigation
- Ensure all applications and customer documentation comply with internal policies and regulatory norms.
- Monitor partner adherence to compliance and mitigate operational or reputational risks.
7. Internal Coordination
- Collaborate with Credit, Operations, and Marketing teams to streamline processes, reduce turnaround time, and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Contribute to the development of partner engagement campaigns or regional sales initiatives.
8. Reporting & Analysis
- Provide accurate and timely reports on sales pipeline, partner performance, market insights, and challenges.
- Track KPIs and suggest course-corrective actions as required.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum 5 years in home loans, financial services, or channel sales management.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or related field (MBA is an advantage).
- Sales Expertise: Proven track record of achieving sales targets in the home loan or financial products domain.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for partner and customer engagement.
- Product & Process Knowledge: In-depth understanding of home loan products, documentation, credit policies, and compliance requirements.
- Leadership & Execution: Ability to drive execution, solve problems, and align teams towards goals.
